Very nice spontaneous walk on Sunday with Mikey & Margo and Patrick & Emmy. As Scrumpy was up north with Mr H, Patrick & I instead occupied ourselves with using my litter picker to get rubbish out of the bushes – his eco lessons at school apparently say this is good to do, so was an easy sell..
I somehow managed to get hit by a golf ball thwacking a tree and bouncing back to smack me on the wrist, which was slightly less than ideal – luckily it didn't go on to hit little Emmy who was right next to me, so thank goodness for that. And we were standing dutifully right out of the way, waiting for them to play – they did at least all apologise on their way past.
Ah well, nice bit of fresh air and company while H away – and some good tree climbing in wellies from Patrick, followed by his 'anything you can do, I can do too' little sister!
And we won't mention the post-walk trip afterwards for a cheeky bite as 'M.C.Donalds' as Patrick delightedly put it.. Naughty but nice.
