So – having booked me in for my 2 day joy session at the Royal Free, meant to be this Thurs & Friday, they rang back within 24 hours and cancelled it. All the plans that I had for those 2 days I had moved out – and then had to try and move them back again, cheers for that.
Only for a few days later – yes, you've guessed it. They rang and offered me the same dates again, albeit at slightly different times. Apparently due to a 'cancellation' – – was that actually me in the first place??
So I rather grudgingly had to say yes again, thinking, bugger I've got to diary shift everything for a second time. But this time the guy called back within half an hour to tell me that apparently 'they can't take private patients on a Thursday'! So he binned me again. I did think he would have been better to ask me to come as an NHS patient in order not to waste the precious slot, but he'd gone by that point.
So – no idea yet when this will be rebooked. But yes, for those of you who were worried (and oddly interested..!), I have now sourced a giant container to collect 24 hours of wee in. Yay for that huh??
