Random Week’s Update

So then – no one major thing standing out this week – has been a conglomeration of snapshotty small bits so here they come!

Starting with the nice big one – we had Andy Morts staying with us for the week (rehearsing for yet another heinous opera thing that he always swears I'll like and that – sorry Andy – you know I avoid like the plague. One day you'll go back into musical theatre and I can cough up for some tickets at last..). Anyway – Andy & his lovely lady Kelly got engaged on New Year's Eve in Zermatt – aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. The crazy fella seems to be trying to get hitched in August, no mean feat. Anyone with a spare enormous garden beware.

PS Andy – excellent houseboy-ing this week, you are a very well trained guest. Forcing you to buy me a filthy Right Wing Daily Torygraph periodical to go with my tea in bed was a gargantuan effort for you and jolly nice for me!

What else? Have slipped and slithered on the ice like all of us – fortunately being over 40 means I care not one small shit about looking like a frumpy old trout when wearing big bovver boots for our Turkish client meeting on thurs. The other 2 women were sporting nice black stilettos (hello????!!! ice rink out there!) and duly had a 'mare as I forced them over to the Foresters for lunch, solely to make my point and justify my own monster footwear. Ho ho ho.

Then had a top eve out on Fri with Hatch & Fitz, Morts, Rich & H – delighted that Hatch puked and I didn't. I may be old, but you have 2 kids and were over-excited at actually 'going out', so for once, I triumphed on the 'hold onto your supper' stakes.

Oh yes and Hawksey and I would like to announce a potential addition to our family.…..!

AS IF!

You ever so hopeful (or more likely, incredulous) numpties – surely you didn't fall for that one?

We are indeed planning a wild extension.. but only to our kitchen in 2010. This is all that 40-somethings living in suburban Wimbledon can spring to, so hold your breath for a larger space to get drunk in with us, we look forward to wining & dining you a bit more later in the year! Sx
