I can’t believe….

… It has taken me 3.5 months of treatment, which equates to approximately 100+ nights of getting very little sleep, to finally try taking a sleeping tablet.
On average I have had no more than 4 hours sleep, every night, for 3 months. Some nights I first wake up at 11.30pm or midnight, then there's a long and quiet night if to, iPad, tea, annoyance and nothingness ahead. I am bloody knackered – and rather grumpy, as you would be, as a result.
Finally decided to scoff one of H's stash of sleeping tabs last night and have just been woken up at a gloriously exciting 6.30am by Scrumpy and Mojo in tandem, Scrumpy having somehow managed to break out of the kitchen in her quest to find her late-arriving/breakfast-feeding Mummy.
Sure, the tabs leave you feeling a bit woolly headed, but the unbelievably rare joy of 8 hours sleep is almost the same rush as it probably is for you crazy people who do triathlons.
Only another 400 lost hours of kip to catch up on now ….. Better nick another packet or six X X X
