Good result

God I feel like I've been living on scanners these last 2 weeks. Had my MRI of 3 areas of my neck, back and lower back last week – net result was that I need to see a musculoskeletal chap this Friday to work out if the best way to sort the ongoing pain and lack of movement is another set of facet joint injections (which did;t work last time) or something else.

That also brought up a small dark area on my lung, so I had to go for a CT scan this week. First time I have had this kind of CT, where they put a canal in, scan you a couple of times, then inject a dye to show up the central areas for the scan. The woman said the dye would make my hands, feet and bladder very warm – what she didn't say was that it would instantly make me want to throw up! So weird, you go from totally fine to feeling 'pissed on dye' within 1 second – wow.

Never had that experience before – waving hands in scanner to get help – being sat up, retching away – just about managed to control it without vomming all over the equipment. And then had to be sat down with two biscuits and a cup of tea until they would release me – so much for the diet. At least it seems the lung thing is clear – no problem there, hurrah.

And also had good news re latest blood results – am actually down this month from 7.98 which was 2.5 months ago to 7.75 now. It does sometimes blip up and down, but not so often down – so well pleased with that x
