Mudlarking
Yup, I wasn't too sure what mudlarking was either, till Clare G suggested booking it. After a rather handy cuppa at the Salvation Army headquarters nearby (who knew?), it turned out to be a 40 minute chat by a young archaeologist, outdoors by the Millennium Bridge, showing and describing a range of the historical artefacts…

One update
One result we've had so far has been my bone marrow biopsy – very glad to report it is stable at 0.002. This is the same as it was six months ago, so exactly what I was hoping to hear. Always feels like it kind of 'buys me' 6 more months, till the next one…

Waiting, waiting…
Feels like rather a long week, this one. I had my 6 monthly bone marrow biopsy on Monday – the usual Parkside faff of 'come at this time', 'oh that's the same time as you're actually booked into theatre', 'come three hours earlier', 'no, that's way too early', 'make sure you don't eat for 6…

Lettie’s 2nd Birthday
SO good to finally catch up with two out of three of the 'big nieces', when we were invited to Lettie's 2nd birthday party yesterday. Luckily just us, the three of them and Abbie & Nick, have to admit to slight relief at not being met by a sea of toddlers! Jess & Pat had…

Getting into the Birthday Swing..
Had my first birthday bash this Fri – a mere 8 days before the actual day, I am slipping in my efforts.. First off, toddled my way with Janine around the Battersea Art Fair. Neither of us purchased, but still very nice to be back there, ambling the aisles, always on the sniff for that…

A week of getting back to normal
Huge thanks to Janine & Ross for putting up with me for almost two weeks, both at the cottage and back in Parson's Green, while H was in isolation chez Dora with covid. Luckily, the boy is now fine (barring a few missing taste buds) and I am back home – my, how good that…

H gets Covid
Yup – it's not been the best of heath weeks for us two. My shingles is dragging on and I've had to miss chemo for 2 weeks both because I may be infectious to others and because chemo might make the shingles worse. Luckily, I am ahead of myself on this year's dates so it…

Shingles & Brownies
So – guess which one of these is desirable and which one definitely is not?? Bit of an easy one hey.. Yup, managed to get my second ever dose of shingles a week ago and its still, quite frankly, bloody painful. Seems far worse than the first one, which was about ten years ago. Either…

Cornwall Week 2
In a good way, week 2 in Cornwall heralded a change of guests, with us welcoming David & Mandy down from Yorkshire after an epic 9 hour drive. It's a bleddy long way from oop north down tut south west.. Some things stayed the same – such as squeezing back into the wetsuits and heading…

Cornwall Week 1
Got down to Trebetherick in Cornwall last Friday for a whirlwind week with Mr H, Jules & Nicky and Banners and Ashley. Also had Sophie & Jane though just for an all too short weekend – think they found it rather hard to peel themselves away back to an RAF course/work given the really nice…
