An update that’s not much of an update

Ah – you know things are going less well medically when the stats on my blog readership suddenly go through the roof, having languished for many a year now.

The irony that my dull medical shit is far more compelling a read than my varied and very exciting social life, lovely friends & all the related photos, is not lost on me!

So – had the planning CT yesterday at Parkside. Which involved me lying on the huge scanner, on a squidgy beanbag thing that they mould to a specific position. Head also on the type of plastic headrest you see when post mortars are being done on Silent Witness – both of those were new to me – and the beanbag is definitely more comfy than the headrest..

One unexpected thing was that I am now the proud owner of…. you'd never guess unless you've had this rubbish happen to you or a friend/family member…

THREE TATTOOS!!

Yep. No shit. They actually permanently tattoo your skin with three little marks so the mega monster gamma ray (my name for it, no idea what its proper tech name actually is) knows where to shoot its magic beam. And while two of them are pretty tiny the third one is much more visible – a good job I don't spend a lot of time with my right arm up, showing off my side ribs hey?

Rather confusingly at this point I keep hearing phrases like 'yours is a particularly complex case' which I need to get to the bottom of. Hence 24 hours later I've just rung them to chase for when the treatment will start – and apparently Bob Phillips still needs to confirm how many sessions will be needed. I reckon 8 (total spurious call) so anything less than that will be better than I'm imagining.

Apparently it prob won't begin till next Wed – aaaaaaaaah – annoying as I am desperate to kill this fucker and its friend Mr Pain as soon as possible. My chest is really bloody painful, especially as its had a good prodding and poking these last few days – so they just need to crack on. Before it cracks entirely, preferably.. Will post again when I know more.

In the meantime, am going to shuffle my way into town to look at the Lumiere displays on various London buildings tonight. Via at least a cocktail emporium or two. I can't believe it is only the 15th of Jan – I have broken Dry January already 3 times and it feels like the end of Feb to me.

More laters peeps x
