Wimbledon Waggy Walk

Blooming good job that yesterday was one of the few rain-free days – as it was the Wimbledon Guild's charity dog day out – the Waggy Walk.

Mr H and I, in our sexy high vis jackets, took Scrumpy up to the Hand in Hand, and volunteered (slightly madly, what was I thinking) to help lead the longer 7km walk, as I volunteer for the Guild when they need an extra pair of hands.

Jules & Nicky joined us at the Windmill as we helped shepherd about 200 people and their hounds round the common, ending up back at the pub for a pint afterwards. Weird number of sausage dogs turned up, each being eyed with interest by a South African chap's 2 large wolf husky dogs, who seemed a tad peckish…

Not sure this four legged friend quite qualified, but a nice addition to a different kind of day out, all in a good cause.

Although it did take a 90 minute nap and a hot bath to get me back into the land of the living afterwards. 7km doesn't sound far, but my crap toes were less than impressed… Dinner chez Nicky & Jules later on was a definite bonus, ta v much guys.
