Very hot but still very enjoyable day of camping in Wimbledon Park with Janine, in order to secure Centre court tickets for Friday’s tennis this week. Got there at 5.10am in Thursday and were still nearly 300 in the queue, but at least the first 500 people get centre court tickets, phew.
No danger of being cold in the night, and a big thanks to Ross for dropping off and picking up our stuff at two very ungodly hours. Plus delivering cooked sausages, he knows the way to a girl’s heart…
Had excellent seats and managed to stay awake for most of Querry v Monfils, then Serena Williams and the highlight, lovely Roger. Nom nom…
Actually have ballot tickets for next Fridays men’s semis (woo hoo!) – won’t know what to do with myself if I don’t have to wait 32 sweaty hours this time in between arriving and play actually starting on court…! X
