Now this one's always a good gig – order your tickets in advance, straight to the front of the always hideously long queue, nice wander round for an hour and then off for lunch afterwards.
Went with Fitz & Lyds, and as ever there were some incredibly clever and patient photographs to admire, as well as always the odd one of two where you slide by whispering 'I could have taken that', as it's never always abundantly clear why some make the top list and others don't… and 1-2 oddly simplistic ones do, that really shouldn't!
Also some amazing ones by kids – bloody impressive for 10 year olds etc, now those were better than I could have done..
Good job Lyds had booked a 5pm train back to Manchester as we managed to pick an incredibly slow curry house for lunch. But it did give us plenty of time to discuss the potential holiday together this August – where we will hopefully be heading to 'the least visited country in Europe'. Answers and guesses re this glorious destination on a postcard (text!) please….
