Hawksey’s nephew Reeve, his partner Kerry Anne and their 9 year old daughter met us for a pub lunch in Kings Langley yesterday. Isabella SO excited as we were taking them all to the Harry Potter studio tour just down the road.
My second visit so not quite as wow as the first one, but a good chance to see Isabella break through her shyness and run around the different bits. She was particularly delighted to find a life size Dobby the elf, her favourite character, and showed him her Dobby necklace before sadly saying, ‘but Dobby’s dead, isn’t he’. Bit hard to know how to respond to that one, given he wasn’t exactly real in the first place.
And we got her a wand – her choice – as her late birthday present gift to take home. Amazing how a piece of plastic can s) cost £29 and b) please a child so much.
Back home to ours, dust, rubble and bath in the kitchen, for a sausage casserole afterwards, and a good old catch up as we only see them once or twice a year. Not a bad day all round x
