So – I've had my lovely right wrist carpal tunnel done and that seems to be mending fine. No sign as yet of the feeling in my fingers returning but the chap did say it could take 6 months. (Not '6 moths' as I just wrote, but quite frankly I will try anything at this point!)
still can't twist open any jars but I can at least drive and open the fridge again so all going in the right direction, tee hee.
Then I had the two lovely steroid injections, one in each of my shoulders, to try and reduce the pain in those, which gets especially annoying at night. Poor Hawksey is kept awake by my snoring when I am on my back, I get rolled onto my shoulders, they hurt so I roll onto my back again – and no-one gets any sleep. You see the picture? Think this did work for a few weeks although now I think it's wearing off so I might be popping back into get some more. I might suggest they start doing lollipops for adult returners..
And am just back today from Parkside, yes, my second unwelcome home, where I thought I was going in to have 4 facet joint injections in my lower back. Turns out the consultant had changed his mind and thinks the issue may be more in the discs than in the joints, so gave me two epidurals instead. Oh deep joy. Still the cup of tea afterwards and half an hour in bed with a sandwich always goes down well.
Only need to book in a Prof session soon – and you know how much I look forward to those – and hopefully I will be done for a bit.
Oh wait – haven't mentioned the neck laser that's happening in early Sept…. but more on that nearer the time. 'I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky….'
