So then, thought would have a quick squizz at the blog stats and see what fascinating facts I could uncover from it (well, was trying to work out when people read it and why, but that was a step too far for my limited technical tracking abilities). So, the headlines are:
– Blog has been runing for almost three whole years now, as the first post was on 21 October 2008
– The highest number of hits on any day was 29/10/08 – the day before my 40th birthday – with a whopping 102 hits (were you looking for last minute present ideas on here??)
– there hasn't been a single day when no-one has been on here – the lowest is 1 (or maybe that's just what the TypePad minimum is set to, to stop us tragic bloggers feeling unloved….)
– there are 14 times this year so far when it's had over 30 hits on individual days (so I had a look to see if there was a pattern to this, I am clearly getting more OCD by the day)
– 11 out of these 14 days are Mondays and Tuesdays – so you are all clearly starting off your working weeks with something far less taxing than work! Long may this continue.
– Since launch, I've posted 207 times, which might be a prime number (I don't like these) so luckily this post will even it back up again, to a nicely divisible number. There's something not quite right about odd numbers too, except 5s, which for some inexplicable reason are ok in my funny little world.
– And since launch its had 11,602 hits – woo hoo! And as my mother is too old to have done any of them, I can only thank you all for your rigorous interest and perseverance!
– This is an average of 11.12 hits a day – up from 10 something a while back, so cheers to whoever has set their laptop to automatically log in several times a day, much appreciated.
And I'm still here to be writing, which is probably the thing I'm the most grateful for.
