A couple of months ago we commissioned an artist to do a portrait of Scrumpy. Not quite a nerve wracking as it might sound, as David & Mandy had used the same person and the picture of their springer, Libby, now hanging in their kitchen, is absolutely spot on.
But you never know..
After much file searching and photo comparison from over the years, we picked one of Scrumpy looking happy, with her tongue out, sitting in a bed of lavender on the common.
And asked Wendy the artist to paint a smudgy grey background instead as the floral look didn't really go with where we wanted to hang it – pretty good that you can amend whatever you want.
Luckily – the result has been fantastic!!! She has managed to even get Scrumpy's eyes full of life, and all the little details right down to her scruffy fur around her collar are perfect.
Very pleased – a nice pre-birthday gift to ourselves!
