So we finally managed to get all 5 of us together for a slightly belated Sarah T birthday lunch, due to Covid striking both Janine and me – finally – in July.
Luckily all fine this time round, and we decided to head for a right old blast from the past – The Wharf in Teddington, for the lunch. Down the road from the old Added Value offices, and a place wee used to take clients. SO much nicer to be there with friends instead! (I still clearly remember the night I had dinner there and sat opposite a particularly Germanic and earnest female client who insisted on spending the entire meal discussing the Kimberley Clark sanitary range and product benefits… urgh).
Anyway – they knocked out a fine lunch and we scrubbed up well for the occasion! And Sarah seemed happy with her prezzies, so all good there too.
A lovely throwback to the AV days (if only Kantar life was anything even slightly like that now… sigh)
