Spent most of yesterday sorting the house and creating mountains of food for Nicky & Jules's welcome back to the UK lunch. Hard to believe it was a whole year they were away, cycling the Americas, even they were saying 'nothing's changed'…
Various people popped in and out at different times, around the football and other Sunday necessities – probably all still groaning from excess nachos, chilli, beer, apricot pud, ice cream, Indian chocolates (!) and blackberry whisky..
As ever, it morphed into 'girls in the kitchen chatting' and 'boys on the sofa watching the footy', before they headed out for a 'man make fire' session in the garden with the chiminea. Plus ca change…
Anyway – nice to have J&N back, and they will be house sitting while we are on hols so Scrumpy will be getting extra exercise each day till we get back.
