Its always hard to type 'aaah' and make it either sound like:
1. 'AAHAHHHHHHHHHH' (as in I just fell off a cliff / had an axe embedded in my skull / have put my hand's in a child's nappy and the poo has smeared all up my arm) vs
2. 'AAAgghhhhh@ which is 'oh how nice, someone's left my fave Red Lindor chocolates on my desk / I'm pretending your wrinkly redfaced newborn child is actually quite cute / I've just scoffed a huge bag of Sensations with fullfat Houmous'.
How do you spell each type of AH?!
Anyway- Mum had 48 people tip up to her birthday lunch yesterday – bloody good effort (not least because she forgot to write who the invite was actually from or that it was her 80th big do, when she sent them out!)
Bloody fantastic food done by the French Table in Surbiton – highly recommended
And she still has the thrill of a family meal tonight (her actual birthday) with the supreme highlight of a new green John Lewis towel and matching (no less) facecloth to look forward to.
Bugger me sideways – it don't get better than that! Sx
