Yesterday was a good day – finally Muriel was back from several months of medical misery (emergency stomach operation – at 90!) to make up our usual group of 4 for tea.
Thank goodness for the little outdoor space on the first floor of Maureen's care home, which is handily near her room and gives us a bit of fresh air to escape outside to, without any of the oldies getting chilly.
Maureen was on good form this week – not always the case, such as when you say 'shall I come back and see you next week?" and the answer is a firm No! She managed a chocolate eclair, 2 slices of cake, a tea and a strawberry smoothie but said my coffee was awful. As I only drink the tea there, she's probably right!
Anyway – here's my gaggle of Wed afternoon girls. Muriel 90, Maureen 87, Ginny 80 and me a mere childlike 55. A whopping 312 years between us all, and it is honestly a really good chat! x
