Ok, so having your 60th birthday on a Monday night isn't maybe the very bestest night of the week for a mega birthday bash, but the lovely Liz L went ahead anyway.
And very kindly hosted a cracking dinner at the Swan pub above the Globe Theatre 'up town' – great river views from the balcony and rather good nosh considering the large number of us there! Swighty was being distinctly smug when she worked out that she was the youngest person in the room – and Al Watson became slightly less smug when he clocked that he was probably the oldest… but was still looking very fine on it.
Liz as usual looked about 50 – outrageous that she does indeed appear to be 60 in reality (and also has the honour of being the first good friend I know to turn this majestic age)
