Spent Wed & Thurs this week in…. drum roll please…. the glamorous location of CentreParcs Suffolk, with 300 other Kantar bods, having the annual love-in.
All I could hear were the words 'thank GOD Sarah Taylor is here' reverberating in my head – so at least I had one proper chum and a much appreciated room mate to share my forest pod with.
At least there are a still a few familiar faces – Bart, Paul & Izzy, Jonathan & Helen, Eunice, Ellie Lloyd-Malcolm (Sellar), Uli, Fi Egan, Lou Coupe etc, but man – the list gets ever shorter. Congratulations and best wishes to Paul Cowper, the latest to be announced as leaving, this week. And hats off to the old French offices faces – Sandrine, Claire-Anne – who in the morass of 25 year old 'children' are also now my closest friends. God it was a relief to get home last night, sad but oh so true.
Two other highlights? The very nice cooked breakfast ingredients that were in our chalet/hut thing so I could have breakfast just with Sarah – what a great idea. And the invasion of the wildlife – the second you open the sliding back door, it's Dr Doolittle!
Let's see who's still here this time next year….. Sigh.
Raise a glass all you wonderful ex-AV people out there. You are truly, deeply, sorely missed.
