Well the last ten days have been pretty much a wash out. I’ve got some weird inflammatory infection, which has been making me feel just like I’ve got flu – tired, hot and cold, achy joints, bit nauseous, sore skin, breathless etc – except with no cough or cold part. And it’s been dragging on, neither getting any better or worse.
Annoyingly meaning I’ve had to pull out of various meet ups including seeing Spurs win 3-0 last night at Wembley, not my team but would have been good!
Anyway, woke up this morning to find a low level rash all over me too. So dragged myself to CCL, who do respond brilliantly when you stick your hand up for help. Have had two lots of bloods taken, had a CT scan and just seen the wonderful Charlotte Rayner, who diagnosed this inflammatory infection thing, as my markers have doubled in the last two days and the score is thirty something when it should be less than 5… Tablets coming my way, and hopefully I can see this off now.
But while they were on a roll they also persuaded me to book in my 6 monthly PET CT scan and bone marrow biopsy, which weren’t quite due yet. Just like booking the dentist and hygienist visit 6 weeks early – why would you?! So those joys now await next week…
As long as this goes and I can get back to normal, that’d be good. I’m SO over feeling poo and an6 time I pop back to the third floor of Parkside it’s such a horrible reminder of tough times there, no matter how lovely they are when you show up.
And more importantly, Little Miss Scrumpy is coming home tomorrow and is going to need lots of loving and physio to get her back on form too. Apparently she’s doing well, eating as normal (she takes after her mummy), though not yet putting weight on her back leg. Hopefully she’ll be trying it out again sometime soon. I’ve missed our daily walks on the common and the swoosh-swing of the ever full poo bag by my side…. x
