Who knew that getting a headstone in place took so much hassle and time. The stonemasons seem to work on some incredibly antiquated paper-based system, including a particularly natty trick where they insist you sign off a 'mock up' of the headstone, while also saying 'but it won't necessarily look like that'.
When I pointed out that for £3 I can get a birthday card from Moonpig that mocks up EXACTLY what it will look like, but for thousands of pounds they don't seem able to produce something rather more important, they seemed perplexed …
Anyway, thank goodness it looks right, and it is finally on Mum & Dad's grave. Happier now x
