Sorry I've not posted in ages – very remiss! and luckily, it's mostly because there's been lots on and I've only just been kicked in the butt by my sister to get on with it.
Had a fab weekend away up at David & Mandy's in May – always a pleasure to stay at their fab pad – although I am still very wary of the many fields around their house that have mean cows in them, literally. Since we got chased (and very nearly nailed) by a herd a while back, there now seem to be many bovines trying to get us, including one lot that followed us for several fields, trying to find a way through the fence to get to us. Apart from that, its all very relaxing!
Spent a day in York, reminiscing for me about going in the last year of junior school aged 11. To York Minster and to see the whale tusks in Whitby. Amazing I can remember some things from over 40 years ago and then have no idea now why I've gone into a room to get something…
One of D&M's daughters popped over twitch their kids for a brief visit – cue the 'big boys' pinching the toddler bikes and racing them round the drive….
And then polished off our visit with a trip to the famous Harrogate institution, Betty's. Cracking brekky to send us on our way back south.
