Just on the train on the way back from a lovely sunny weekend in Harrogate. Only slightly marred as poor Mandy put her back out – as ever, doing something mad, in this case looking into the dishwasher – which was VERY painful. Both H & I in full sympathy as we know exactly what that feels like..
Pottered into Harrogate, did a bit of shopping, wandered about with the doggies – Mabel somewhat over-loving poor Maddie, who had her little ginger friend's jaws clamped to the back of her neck or desperately trying to get one tiny bit closer than she already was to her.. Luckily Mads is much more patient with other dogs than Scrumpy used to be, she would have been roundly noshed in former times. Those eyes are clearly saying 'can we go now?' – and we'd only just arrived!
Even managed to sit out on D&M's still relatively new garden furniture – not something that can always been done in the windy 'Gate, so that little treat was much enjoyed. Check out that northern summer sunshine…
Had a pub supper out on Fri, coffee at daughter Charlotte & Chris's and then a top eve with D&M and local friends Brenda 'Henny' and John, who we've met quite a few times. We whopped them at croquet, a spot of beginners' luck fuelled by two large G&Ts, out on one of David & Mandy"s many lovely lawns (!), all of which are now maintained by their cute and very busy robot mower, Chomper.
All in all a few days that went all too quickly, here's to Mands' back getting back to normal pronto and to the next meet up sooooooon x
