Good Results for Mr H

Hawksey now goes to see his consultant, Vincent Khoo, every 3 months. And we actually had a proper face to face, rather than a call, this week. It's funny that he uses my Prof's consulting room on the Wed evenings that he comes in – what a familiar space..

So we both breathed a major sigh of relief that H's PSA score was still very very low, below 1. Which means that the prostate cancer is still lurking in its box, rather than being something that needs urgent action. Phew, phew, phew. It's a bit shit living by the 'what do they say this month/quarter' timetable, but at least thank goodness, for now all is well with H.

His red blood count / haemoglobin scores are still below the normal band, as apparently it can take a year or two to recover from the treatment. So he is in the Low risk group for Covid, as a result, and I am still over-performing and under-achieving massively by remaining in the High group… Hey ho, on we go..

Celebrated by having my first pint of post-lockdown beer in one of the outdoor pub spaces in the Village, H using the new App to order it. Looks like something I should be downloading too!
