OMG, its been SOOOOOOOOO nice to finally get out for a meal cooked by someone else, in the company of actual 'other people'!
Thank you to the pubs for their hospitality and ability to get people together in what feels like safe environments to forget bloody COVID for a few hours and be able to catch up, natter and relax. Not before time!
Had a cracking girls night at the Green Man in Putney this week – mostly on the burgers and a lot of fizz and rose – followed by a couples night out with J&R and Mikey & Margo at the (bloody freezing!) Leather Bottle in Earslfield. Oddly, this time it was the boys who were chilly, despite us raiding the car for every woolly hat and puffa jacket we had! The heaters were a bit thin on the ground and quite a way away from us…
But still, its a chalk and cheese feeling from a few weeks ago when everything felt pretty desperate and desolate, to the joy of seeing people and getting out of the house for more than a dog walk.
Also managed to catch up briefly with the Swighty and Woodsie on Swight's birthday, while out for – yes, another dog walk – with Becks and her new puppy Basil. Who Scrumpy unceremoniously chewed and put in his place, not a good girl at all…
But still, brilliant to catch up with people and to feel just that bit more 'normal', which these days is a blessing indeed x
