As ever, have managed to eke the birthday celebrations out, over about the past 3 weeks. Final effort was Friday eve, at the Telegraph Pub in Putney.
First sighting of Nicky & Jules since their return to the UK from their year away cycling the Americas. Both still looking trim and fit, though hopefully the vast plates of fish and chips will help address this serious issue.
Soph sadly ill, being tended to by Laura (clearly too scared to come out on her own with such a bunch of oldies). But Vicki & Tina on fine form, wedding plans being discussed in preparation for their CP next May.
Nicky had even managed to make a birthday cheesecake, one of the benefits (for me!) of her being minus a job until they settle back in. Very yum.
Very nice to be told to hold a date in my diary – next March – for their present to me. I think they forgot to get round to telling me what the day/ gift actually is!
