Day 100

Well, it's a good job that I didn't think that this would all have blown over by the time the first 12 weeks were up… or even longer.

This week saw Day 100 of lockdown roll round for our house, and even though things are easing a tiny bit there's no sign of bloody Covid buggering off any time soon.

When it all hit in March I also remember looking into the one tablet pot that I take each day and seeing a fairly big pile of tablets left in it, and thinking 'wouldn't it be nice if things were looking ok again by the time I finish this pot off'. Oddly enough, Day 100 and the last tablet in the pot coincided seamlessly on Tuesday… and no, the fat lady isn't singing yet.

So here we are, into the 4th month now. I have – utterly ridiculously – entered a whopping 875 online competitions since we hunkered down. And of course have won absolutely bloody diddly squat as a result! But, I live in hope that maybe one day if my little competition boat comes in, it will be with something half decent – obvs a holiday would be high up the list – though it's far more likely to be a year's supply of coffee or something that only Mr H might get something out of – or even more likely – nothing at all!

Still, its very very nice to be doing a few more little social bits and pieces, and here's to many more. All at a safe distance and much, much needed by us and everyone else I am sure!

The second hundred days in underway. Hoping bloody massively that I won't be typing 'the third hundred days has begun' in a few more months' time. Fingers crossed lovely people – let's do some of that nice old fashioned face to face stuff, now we can, and sniff the glorious scent of BBQs as the summer rolls on x
