Lucky David & Mandy managed to 'win' the first weekend of us having Maddie to come down and stay – and yes, she is still very much a mad little puppy!
Add in the fact that it was hotter than a hot thing down here and we just about managed to get out and do a short walk with the dogs, plus a cuppa at Cannizaro House, and didn't then manage to do a whole lot more! Poor Macey – aged 13 and totally deaf, bless her – put up with Maddie's annoyingness remarkably well, considering.
We did of course still manage some obligatory games of Uno (Mands thrashed us) and a cheeky round of margaritas to get us in the swing.
Maddie loved her new furry pig toy from Harroagte – 'Babe' – who has had a jolly good chewing to break her into living at Dora. And beyond that, quite a lot of lounging in the garden, helping D&M book a trip to Corfu next month and general scoffing of stuff from Hawksey's 'Igg' (Egg Kamado Joe monster bbq)..
Always good to see D&M – hopefully things will be less chaotic by the next time – and Miss Maddie might have worked out where 'outside' is for peeing & pooping! (god, I hope so…)
