After a lot of hoping, wanting, trying and trying again, my third niece Abbie and hubby Nick welcomed their first little bundle of babyness into the world this week.
All a bit of a whirlwind, as the young man took his time arriving – during which my sister in law was practically having kittens in our house, the nearest place that she and my brother Rick could wait for news.
He was still a few days early but it did take a C section in the end. We were finally able to see a photo of Boaz John Scott Allison on the morning of 8th October. And before you ask, it seems to be a biblical name…..
Most importantly, all went well and while I’ve had to delay my first visit (tomorrow, but I’m too snotty/coughy to meet a newborn), we will be heading to Hammersmith for cuddles very soon. Huge, huge congrats to Abs & Nick – a long time coming, but he’ll totally be worth the wait.
