Well, we couldn't miss out on our own Christmas, could we? Had Janine & Ross over to ours on Boxing Day to scoff our way through a mountain of turkey and all the trimmings, pulling our own crackers with racing reindeer and looking back at the year's photos together.
And then pegged it down to the South Downs for a 3 night stay at a very nice AirBNB cottage, where Clare & Andy, plus the lovely Roo, came to join us for one night. Great place, newly turned from a barn into a 2 double bedroom cottage with a great fire – just lovely. Particularly chuffed with the photo of us on the beach, being photo bombed by Scrumpy as she legged it along the surf into the shot!
And from there, a quick nip to Portsmouth Harbour to pick up some giant dover soles for 30th Dec dinner and a pile of oysters and prawns, then off to J&R's cottage in West Sussex for NY.
As ever, a fab boozy night down there, with some fire-roasted marshmallows and all the fireworks we could muster, to send off 2015 with a literal bang.
Men at work.. Right 2015, you haven't been my best friend, so I am looking forward to things picking up in 2016 – 16 has always been my lucky number since growing up in 16 Lord Chancellor Walk – time to put it to the test x
