So this was a very exciting week of meeting people's new puppies – popped over to Hatch's to check out little Polly, who wasn't there when I arrived. But about 5 minutes later a small brown leggy thing hurled herself up into my garden chair and started licking my face off. Now that's what I call a welcome! What a little cutie – she's going to be a great addition to the Crowther clan.
Next to put in an appearance was little miss Lottie – Mark & Charlie's fur ball. Highly investigative, checked out the entire house and garden and took rather a shine to pestering Scrumpy. Who rather rudely put her in her puppy place several times with some major growling. Not her best dog hostess day.
Very nice that the 'big boys' Mark & Charlie appeared bearing no less than 18 vodka jellies to 'go with' lunch. Lovely long afternoon, noshing beef, catching up, enjoying the sun trap bottom of the garden spot and interspersing courses with a quick slurp – though I do suspect I had (at least) 2 to everyone else's individual jellies..
And we had various other visitors – starting with H's little godson Jasper, also known as JJ – which gave rise to some ornament banging and games of 'who's under the flower pot'. Great when they are still that easily entertained!
