Better News

Just a quickie to say that H and I have just been to see his new consultant, Vincent Khoo. And thank god there was a very important bit of news, which is that his PSA score has dropped down quite a way.

Just this alone seems to indicate that he is deemed a 'responder' – and if it works in terms of this score, then he will – hopefully – also respond to chemo, is what the chap said.

H is happy to share this – so here it is!

Mr Khoo has also been really reasonable and open to discussions about options for the treatment plan, so H is with any luck going to be able to do his work trip to Australia in early April – and the start the chemo rounds immediately afterwards.

Here's hoping it carries on, on this better track. Much more positive than things were looking last week, when we didn't yet have this all important first piece of the prognosis puzzle.

Also helpful that it means we have an outline view of what will happen and when for the coming months, so can make a few plans. I know this crappy C world means stuff doesn't always go as intended, as health seesaws up and down when you least expect – or want – it to, but it's a start.

Now where are all my lovely Mr & Mrs Smith vouchers?… Booking finger is flexing.
