Back on Revlimid

What a surprise – the new US drug still isn't here so it's back into the combo of Velcade jabs and Revlimid capsules for the next 7 days. Then I will see Ray next Tues and see if the picture's changed and if the new drug is here. I'm guessing it won't be, judging by what they've heard on email so am not holding my breath.
So today it was a Velcade jab and the monthly Zometa dose, accompanied by a tuna and cucumber roll and some crisps. Even a cranberry juice on the side. My, the glamour.
Will do 7 days on Rev then either switch to the new drug if it has shown up, or have the 'rest week' as per the Velcade protocol. That'd be v handy as we will hopefully make it to Rome for the 12-14th May and won't have to take bloody Rev with us, bonus.
H came with me today, so we walked the dog beast before coming in and left her dripping stinky pondwater in the car while we saw Ray. Got the routine sorted these days, just a shame about the bloody long waits for everything – right now Ray wants to check my kidney function before I get sign off for the calcium drug, and we have to wait for Pharmacy to deliver the drug bag for the next week – it all takes ages.
2 weeks now till H's knee op, so he's starting to get nervous. Good job we've got two big sofas, we will be competing with each other for tea, sympathy and chocolate soon. My money's on me X
