OK, so southern France in September is meant to be nice, right? Well it ws 26 degrees and sunny before we came, then a deliciously chilly 10 degrees and honking with grey old rain for most of the 2 days we were there. Oh, except the first photo – make the most of Annecy in the sun!
So what was there to do but to engage facial muscles with an endless stream of foie gras, baguette, saucisson, baguette, fromage, baguette, croissant, baguette, tarte aux abrigots, baguette, 7 course stonking dinner, baguette.. Oh yes and of course one whole squashy nice fig, to rebalance the healthy fruity aspect of the weekend – with more cheese, of course.
Thanks to Stewart & Helen Macintosh for marv hospitality as ever – and the biggest slug in an ashtray I have ever seen! Sx
