Nothing worry about – the real animals are fine. But this is the term for the place where all furry itemise the house tend to end up every few weeks – on the table, needing to be sewn back together. Nee-naw, nee-naw, nee-naw….
Usually because we have had a canine visitor – could be Finn, Flossy, Smudge, or just as easily Scrumpy herself in a nibbly mood.
This week's lucky few patients were mini sheep (one arm torn), armadillo (his head frill – is that even a thing? – ripped to pieces and face hanging open), and worst of all poor Wally the Walrus – most of his head open and a whole tusk detached.
Luckily, they're not fussy about the crappy crafting skills here at Dora Rd, and its an opportunity for me to use Mum's knackered old sewing box. So kind of nice really – and that's something I never thought I'd say about having to sew something up! S x
