Another excellent night out last night – started off with 2-for-1 Happy Hour cocktails at Fu Manchu in Clapham – very good cocktails (made better once they'd put a joss stick nearby to offset the distinct niff of the loos)… and we were underway!
Then on to The Lodge in Clapham North – not what we'd originally planned (was meant to be a foraging tasting menu somewhere a touch posher – but they cancelled us the night before, cheers) but still a total hoot as we got into the yes-a-bit-weird Alpine theme (!) and stuffed ourselves on fondu – yes, it's been about 20 years since that last happened….
Once the free bottle of Prosecco for faffing us about had been consumed, followed by the free bottle of wine as it was a birthday celebration, things were cooking!
