Now that we are trying to venture a bit further afield – god knows we could do with a change of scenery – we were rather excited to get on another tube to go north of the Londinium to meet Mark & Charlie for a wander. Mr H treating his new flat cap to a special first trip out..
Oddly I don't think I've ever been to Hampstead Heath, so good to have a yomp all over it, taking in the views of the London skyline and the many ponds, with a very handy stop at Kenwood House for a round of teas and a nip to the loo. Spotlessly clean and not a soul in there – now that's one well kept secret!
Slightly bizarrely Mark and I were having a chat about Prince Philip at one point, wondering if he would make it to 100… and it felt a bit spooky that the very next day the sad announcement was made.
Great to catch up with the boys and we have now booked a restaurant for a Actual Meal Out Together next month. Bloody hell, can't wait! S x
