Went to the O2 last night with Liz T, Michelle K and some of Liz's chums to see Queen with Adam Lambert – second time for me to see them performing with him as the 'giving honour to Freddie' role.
That. Guy. Can. SING.
If you've not heard of him or seen him, note the name (he was runner up in American Idol about 5 years ago and was outstanding, way better than the tediously uncontroversial all-American boy who won it and disappeared into instant obscurity).
Show as ever was top notch though why Brian May insists on doing self-indulgent 'did you know I play the guitar in a tortured style?' 10 minute 'I might be old but I've still got it' instrumentals is still beyond me. Play the songs, you sheep-headed dumb ass!
