Fab night out at the Mondrian

So, we didn't have any plans for last night and gave Hannah and John Nurse a WhatsApp to see if they were at a loose end too. Decided not to visit any of the usual eating and watering houses but instead to head into town and have a bash at the Mondrian.

Fantastic rooftop bar – the Rumpus Room – with two sides of glass looking over London, stunning views and an Old Fashioned Long Island that smelled of fresh oranges and delivered a punch like a modern mule, mm mm.

Their Sea Containers ground floor restaurant equally impressive – really well thought through design, top notch service and bloody delicious food – possibly the best chicken I have ever eaten and Mr H in rhapsody over the rib eye and bone marrow.

Add in a few quirky decor bits – I'll spare you the photo of us in front of the peacock cage – to keep slightly merry guests even more entertained.

Yup, it batters your wallet a bit but for a spanking night out, one that's well worth sticking on the list for a cracking drink, dinner and belly laugh.
