Phlurrrggggghhhhhhh
Got my Paraprotein 'score' back from Linda yesterday – having dropped rather well from 6.1 to 3.18 during Cycle 1, it has now only dropped from 3.18 to 3.1 during Cycle 2. That, I think we can all sadly say, is a crap result.
Came with an optimistic note from Linda saying 'it's nearly 2' – in what world is 3.18 nearly bloody 2????!! It's not even all that close to 2.999, and that would still have been a bit of a pants number to see coming back.
One more thing to add to the list of stuff to ask Prof when I next see him on 29th March – something similar happened last time, when the initial response was good and then hit a plateau, and at that point I was moved onto a different drugs regime – from CTD (the Thalidomide one) to Velcade. I suspect I will have to crack on with Cycle 3 and see if that has the desired effect, and if not, then I'd guess he might do similarly (although Revlimid is the 'golden child' of Myeloma drugs, so who bloody knows).
Anyway – given I was putting all my Easter eggs in one basket and hoping for no more than 4 cycles of treatment in total, a shitey cycle 2 is most unhelpful.
And the bloody hound has just eaten half a small bag of M&S little choc eggs that I had stashed on the lower shelf of my bedside table in case of a late night feast emergency situation – god that dog is good. One empty mesh bag and a slightly slinking about the kitchen 'I know I've been bad' beast posture is all that now remains to be seen…
Grumpy sheep.

wow scrumpy would make an amazing sniffer dog – well at least for international chocolate heists.
