Morning lovely peeps
Saw Prof yesterday and we compromised on having 2 Velcade injections (plus some steroids and the usual gibbons – hence I've been up since 3am and now have my lovely rouge 'steroid face' on) this week. Managed to dodge the Revlimid bullet in the end, so that's handy.
Will start a 4 week cycle of the new US jab (if it ever arrives..) plus Velcade jabs next week – although there are Bank Holidays getting in the way and the following week we're still hoping to have our 5th Anniversary trip to Rome. At the moment I'm feeling positive that we will be able to do this – I even applied for an EHIC card just in case, as no bugger will insure me for travel now, while I'm in the middle of all this cack. We will see if my 'well, I think we might go' rare bit of positive thinking actually comes to fruition.
So – things are ok right now. I'm feeling pretty much recovered from the crapola respiratory infection and am wondering if the blue lung tablets might just be starting to do something positive. It's either that, or I'm just feeling better post-hospital and it's lulling me into thinking they are working. Clever medical psychology, that.
Cheers to Claire White for sitting through 5 joy-filled hours at Parkside yesterday as I saw Prof and had the steroids then Velcade jab. We did actually nip to Waitrose in the middle as I got to the Chemo lounge just as 'Pharmacy has gone to lunch'. Blow me, haven't they heard of staggered lunch breaks?? Anyway, quite useful to stuff in a top up shop and we got a better class of lunch sarnie there…
Am seeing Liz Lewzey today for a little dog walk and cuppa up on the Common – should be sunny, so here we go….
