A long overdue evening out last night with the AV Directors – really good to catch up with everyone, see what's going on in the business (mucho change, whole load of Kantarness occurring). And to have a few really rather nice cocktails in this new restaurant on Maple Road Surbiton – think it's just called 97 (Maple Rd) – great tapas and a fairly easy trot even for me from the station.
Overall good nattering with everyone – I've not been into the office this year so far, so really goos to get even a brief 'hey what's going on' with the guys.
Met the new New Biz Dic – Mel Leach (bottom right of photo) – spent quite some time encouraging her to come and join Aces as she's a hockey player… now that'd be handy.
Best line of the night was from Izzy: 'I forgot it was Paul's birthday this week…. but made it up to him by buying 2 copper-bottomed saucepans…' Lucky, lucky man.
And very pleased how minimally hungover I was this morning despite the pint of lager top, the G&T, the two Mules and three Daiquiris – yes, it was a good night! x
