Bloody hell – you can see why people fling themselves off Beachy Head – went up there with Janine, Hawksey and the mutts and my knees were knocking with fear about 5 yards from the – incredibly sheer and non-railinged – mega edge.
Amusing number of Japanese tourists doing selfies with the white cliffs of Seven Sisters in the background – quite sweet that they choose to come to the good old British seaside and clifftops on their holidays.
Managed not to lose either dog over the edge – although Flossie was doing her full 'I'm up on my hind legs and if you let go of the lead I'm pelting straight ahead' meerkat impression.
Polished off the mini climb with a very nice Mr Whippy, overlooking the rocky beach with various brave souls in the water below – now that is Britishness at its best!
