Managed to snarf some freebie tickets for Live at the Apollo yesterday – went along with Janine & Clare G. Always handy when it's Hammersmith rather than the schlep to the O2 – and managed a rather nice pre-comedy dinner at Bills beforehand.
Always slightly odd eating food at 5.30pm – makes it feel more like 10pm when the show starts, but we did get a whole 6 comedians in a row, ranging from the more-known Josh Widdecombe to an Australian woman and a couple of newer ones who looked so young it must surely have been past their bedtime..
Anyway – great seats, very little queuing, a handful of fruity Mentos and Clare's magic cashews to keep me awake (bloody steroids doing their 'wake me up at night' game, rather than the preferable 'keep me wide awake in the evenings' preferred option) and a good night out had by all!
Next stop – Graham Norton again, hopefully if the tickets come for that. Wonder who we'll get this time… x
