Hey lovely folks – today's thrilling update for your delectation..
Got 5 whole hours sleep in a row last night – woo hoo. As I crashed out straight after vomming up dinner it did mean I was awake again by 2.30am but that's still good in my book. And always a bonus to wake up to 15 games of Words With Friends, awaiting my turn..
Unfortunately some of the post-transplant drugs are majorly disagreeing with my insides so just after my weedy bowl of Alpen for breakfast this morning, I threw up the lot again. Felt rubbish for a bit but ok now, although not keen on seeing if it happens again at dinner time when the other main batch of drugs is given.
Handily, I had a FaceTime call with Swight & Woodsie to distract me a bit this morning. Then a spot of Mr H, then Pam and Jude popped by. Even a quick wave out of my prison cell window to Vicki and Tina, out for a walk on Wimbledon Common opposite here – lucky sods, what I'd give for a semblance of a normal Sunday..
Then Janine in for the evening shift so Mr H could do a roast for a couple of his boy mates and get a break from sitting in my white box with me.
Also checked back on my blog from 2009 to see when the two main events that I'm waiting for, happened then. I went neutropenic on Day 8 and then my hair went on Day 13. This would be Wed 25th and Mon 30 Jan. So it's just a waiting game to see if it goes similarly this time. Odd, as I recall my hair going much sooner than Day 13 but clearly my 8 year memory is not a clear one..
Anyway – it gives me hopefully a few more days till I am neutropenic, with any luck. So that means any visitors can't have any colds or evident bugs – and you'll be in gowns and masks. All the better entertainment for me, so cheers x
