Out and About

It's amazing how much you can keep going on a belly full of steroids….

Busy day – up on the Common this morning for a walk with Big K and the lovely Crumble (her dog, not a big bowl of pudding, for once). And the obligatory cup of tea and cake, naughty but very nice in a cracking bit of March sunshine.

Saw Big Sis off the premises and back towards Clogland, with an even fuller set of suitcases than the ones she arrived with, in between a pile of bill paying, getting the other car washed and taking unwanted online purchases back to the Post Office. The Chinese lady in there is now on first name terms with me..

And then very excitingly, equipped myself with a Diet Coke and popcorn, and went to the afternoon showing of Lion at the flicks. Ok, so possibly not quite as good a film as expected (could definitely have done without about half an hour of Dev Patel's long-haired, dodgy Aussie accented soul-searching) but a right treat to be out and parked in a cinema in the daytime. Lush.

Pasta supper at home with the husband and my first proper portion of salad since transplant. Every day seems to bring a new 'First X since SCT' moment, and it seems my salad dodging is officially over. Even had a strange thing called 'fruit' just now in the form of my favourite green grapes, I must be having a relapse….. x
