Went to the South of England Show at Ardingly yesterday – a perfect summer's day – flip flops, sun cream and a cool bag for the scotch egg, rib eye and pork pie purchasing, and me with t shirt sleeves tucked attractively into my bra straps so I didn't end up with tan lines before the family wedding next weekend.
The usual fine array of every farm animal under the sun, with loving farm hands wiping and shovelling all sloppy poos away at top speed. They need a medal or at least a large Mr Whippy for that endless job….
Delighted to be in time for our previous favourite event – the wonderful Piggy Pranks – involving shepherding a large unwilling porker round a timed assault course. Good luck with that, ruddy cheeked Young Farmers..
till not quite sure how they judge the 'broken eggs' contest but somehow a few of the yolks and whites were deemed better than the others. Couldn't quite spot it myself…
