Came out to San Fran last Wed to meet up with Nicky and Jules, who for the last 10 months have been cycling from the top of Sourh America, all the way up through Central America and Mexico, into the US and to an RV depot outside the city, where we all hooked up.

Since then we've headed east to Yosemite and had a walk to El Capitan, the bloody great rock mountain. Where of course I dropped my camera in the sand and immediately broke it. Skills. Pretty impressive scenery though it has to be said…
thence onwards to Lake Tahoe and a 10km 'leisurely' (my ass) ride to the lake and back. Always good to get on a bike with two people who've done 12,000 miles in the last year and have taut brown legs of steel.
Found the perfect Scotty exercise item on Lake Tahoe – a cross between an elliptical trainer and a stand up paddle board. Had a dip in the lake and actually managed to clamber back on it, a minor miracle.
Beyond that, it's been a week of catching up with N&J and eating a vast amount of barbecued meat on the fire by our RV each night.
It's tuna jacket potato for me when we get home on Thursday.. if I ever manage to winkle out Mr H from the Napa wine tasting that he is currently making the most of.
