Went down to sunny Kent on Sat. Took Mum out for lunch first in Margate, but not one of her better days, all a bit quiet and not chatty, making it all a bit hard work, trying to pry conversation out of her and perk her up.
But things picked up immensely at Paul and Sarah Taylor’s joint 50th party at the very sweet Astor Theatre in Deal that evening. Great as ever to catch up with various (mostly ex-)AV chums, including J & R, Curly & James, Lee & Jarrod, K and Duncan, Jane & Jon, Michelle & Ian, Annie Brister, Jackie and Viv etc – and a fab bash with great food, drink, ice cream stand, selfie booth and a top notch band. Amazing who creeps onto the dance floor if lured by the right 1980s hits…
Nice speech up front from our splendiferous hosts – those Taylors always do ‘give very good party’.
And as the evening went on, the more blurry the memories and photos became…
I think we can safely say, an excellent night was had by all x
